We’re ending Latin Heritage Month with a BANG! 🥁🎺🌴 Get ready to DANCE as Tumbáo brings a late-night explosion of rhythm, culture, and Afro-Latin energy to Walker’s @ Works!

Tumbáo is Wichita’s premier tropical Latin dance band, an 8-piece powerhouse driven by big percussion, bold horns, and rhythms built for the dance floor. Expect an irresistible mix of Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Bachata, Afro-Latin grooves, and modern favorites transformed with a Latin twist.

Led by Music Director and percussionist Miguel Santana, Tumbáo draws inspiration from the rich musical traditions of Puerto Rico, Colombia, Cuba, and beyond.

🌎 CELEBRATING LATIN HERITAGE MONTH!

Latin Heritage Month is celebrated September 15 through October 15, beginning on September 15 in recognition of the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, followed closely by Mexico on September 16 and Chile on September 18.

We’re carrying that celebration into the weekend and closing out the season of Latin heritage with one HUGE dance party! 🎉

And you do not have to know how to salsa to join us! Tumbáo creates a welcoming dance floor for everyone, from seasoned dancers to absolute beginners. Come dance, listen, grab a drink, and celebrate the music and culture together.
