Max Moore is an accomplished pianist and a prominent presence in the Denver music scene. Playing professionally since the age of 13, he attended Denver School of the Arts, where he received instruction and got to play with jazz greats such as Ron Miles, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Melissa Aldana, Greg Osby, Veronica Swift, Terrell Stafford, Shane Endsley, Brad Goode, and Greg Gisbert. He then attended the New School, where he studied with Hal Galper. Max is a regular performer at prominent Denver venues such as Dazzle and Nocturne. His notable appearances include performances at the Rochester Jazz Festival, Vail Jazz Festival and the Five Points Jazz Festival. He is a recipient of the Five Points Jazz Grant, has been featured in Downbeat magazine, and was honored with a soloist award by Wynton Marsalis at the Essentially Ellington competition in New York City. 21+ to acquire tickets Select show time in green box to purchase Additionally, Max has received commissions from the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, and the prestigious Bruce Museum in Greenwich. He maintains an active performance schedule throughout Denver and beyond, including national tours with acclaimed Ghanaian Afro-Fusion drummer Paa Kow and the Denver-based collective Daruma. In the summer of 2025, Max performed on the United Stage at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater, opening for Sting and Vulfpeck. On June 7, 2025, Max performed his original compositions with Daruma at the prestigious Kennedy Center, marking a notable milestone in his musical career.

Kentucky White’s Country Music Show – a two-month residency at Walker’s. From the hollers of Kentucky to the jazz cafes in gay Paris to the busy streets of San Paulo, the first Wednesday night each month will be filled with country music. Songs and melodies from ’round the globe. With an emphasis, of course, on bluegrass, bebop and swing. IBMA’s Executive Director, home from Nashville for a few days each month, will gather his kith and kin to jam session, of sorts. Included are Wichita’s finest and a few surprises.
